    Kyushu

    6 nights in rural Japan

Travel to the lesser visited part of the country and see Mt Aso, the active volcano with one of the world's largest calderas, visit a working samurai sword maker, enjoy a stay in a hot spring resort in Kurokawa Onsen, a lively evening with local Japanese in Oita doing karaoke and calligraphy, see Takachiho gorge, Nichinan coastline, Mt Kirishima and stay in a samurai house. This is the part of the trip that will create everlasting memories unavailable in other larger commercial group tours.

        Osaka / Kyoto / Nara

        4 nights

Osaka - the home to conveyer belt sushi and takoyaki. The hustle of the city will contrast with Kyushu. Here you can try taiko drumming and make sushi.

Kyoto - the capital for centuries is home to many shrines, temples and cultural sites. Here you can watch geisha dance and enjoy a tea ceremony.

Nara is the original capital city and Todaiji Temple is one of the world's largest wooden buildings housing a huge Buddha. In Nara you can ride a rickshaw and feed the roaming deer.
